Experts from Poland examined the site of the gas pipeline explosion and reported an unexpected discovery.

Experts have learned what substance was presumably used to explode the Nord Stream pipeline.

The experts' findings were published by radio station RMF24 .

The work was carried out by specialists from the Military Technical Academy in Warsaw.

They were given water samples from the area where the gas pipelines exploded. They also received samples of sediment from the seabed that formed after the detonation.

The experts' task was to determine whether these samples contained traces of explosives.

The analysis did not show the presence of traces of chemical weapons, although they have been present in many regions of the sea since World War II.

In three samples, experts found traces of TNT.

For reference

Nord Stream 1 is a section of the main gas pipeline between Russia and Germany that is no longer operational after being sabotaged.
