An emergency involving a passenger plane flying from India to Germany has been reported.
An Air Vistara plane made an emergency landing in Turkey.
Turkish TV channel TRT reports that flight UK27 took off from India on Friday, September 6.
He was heading to Germany, but during the flight information was received about the alleged presence of a bomb on the plane. There were 247 people on board the plane.
The crew decided not to take risks, and it was decided to make an emergency landing. At first, there was an attempt to request permission to land in the city of Ordu.
But later the aircraft commander received permission to use the landing strip of the airport in Erzurum.
The plane landed safely at the city's airport, where a safe zone had been set up.
Because of this, the arrival and departure of planes was suspended. Passengers were evacuated. Bomb disposal experts arrived at the airport and checked the plane.
A similar incident recently occurred in the US. At that time, a Boeing was making a domestic flight, but was also forced to make an emergency landing due to a report of a bomb on board.
