Flooding has hit northern Vietnam, causing what is already being called one of the worst floods in decades.
The number of people affected by the natural disaster has already exceeded 300 people.
This was reported by the TASS agency, citing information distributed by the Department of Dam Management and Disaster Prevention.
A series of landslides and floods have hit northern Vietnamese provinces, killing 179 people.
However, the elements did not stop there. 145 people are currently listed as missing.
Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Trinh has called on government officials to make every effort to return people's lives to normal.
The most pressing issue is the delivery of food and other essential items to populated areas that were cut off from the rest of the country due to the flooding.
According to the minister, the task of evacuating people from potentially dangerous places where local residents may still suffer falls on the shoulders of competent services.
