The company that owns the Norwegian vessel that could have helped the Russians in the Mediterranean Sea has made a statement.

Bulkship Management confirmed that the crew of its vessel Oslo Carrier 3 took no action to help the sailors from the Ursa Major.

The company's press service explained this by an order received from Spain, RIA Novosti reports.

Spanish rescuers received information about the incident with the dry cargo ship and sent their vessel there.

The crew of the Oslo Carrier 3 was ordered not to take on board sailors from the distressed ship.

Norwegian sailors were assured that rescuers were already on their way.

Therefore, the crew of Oslo Carrier 3 did not take any action, but was ready to act if the appropriate command was received.

At the same time, Bulkship noted that the weather was favorable, the Ursa crew members were not injured, and there was supposedly no immediate danger to the sailors.

The Russians were eventually rescued by the Spanish ship Salvamar Drago. The sailors were taken to the port of Cartagena.

At the same time, two people are listed as missing.
