A Nepalese worker tried to kidnap a two-year-old child in Malaysia.
A man almost kidnapped a 2-year-old child, but his plan was thwarted.
The Nepalese man tried to kidnap the victim because he missed his children, who had returned to their city, World of Buzz reports.
The man explained his actions by saying that he missed his children, who remained at home in their hometown.
He claimed that he last saw his children last year during a holiday.
Sungai Buloh district police chief Mohd Hafiz said the man began to engage in illegal behaviour out of longing for his children.
The suspect was detained and sent to the psychiatric department of a local hospital.
Mohd Hafiz also said police would check the suspect's entry and exit status and work permit in Malaysia.
He stressed that the Nepalese attempted to kidnap a two-year-old child by posing as a cleaner.
