Entrepreneur Elon Musk has promised to find and "destroy" those who accused him of having ties to Russia.

Musk's statement came after two US senators proposed an investigation into his possible contacts with Russian authorities.

Senators became concerned after media reports about possible contacts between Musk and Russian President Putin.

The allegations were based on articles in major publications that claimed such conversations took place in October.

Senators, in turn, put forward a proposal to exclude Musk from participation in government procurement.

In response, Musk wrote: "I will find those who make these accusations and destroy them."

The businessman called those who brought charges against him puppets.

He promised to find "those who wrote the charges" and those who forced them to do so.

Musk's statement appeared on the social network X (formerly Twitter, banned in Russia) against the backdrop of Donald Trump's upcoming return to the White House.
