The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, gave a comment in connection with the shipwreck in the southern waters of the Atlantic.
She said that three Russians out of eight on the fishing vessel Argos Georgia died.
The diplomat explained that there were eight Russians on board and three died, RIA Novosti reports.
According to Zakharova, four are alive and rescued, three died, and one is still missing.
There were 27 crew members on board the Argos Georgia, including 8 Russians.
The ship, sailing under the flag of Saint Helena, was wrecked in the South Atlantic on July 22.
In addition to Russians, there were Spaniards, Indonesians, Uruguayans and Peruvians on board.
Lifeboats brought 14 survivors to shore.
