Almost two years later, details emerged about an incident that occurred over Lake Huron in Canada.
In February 2023, unidentified flying objects (UFOs) were spotted in the Great Lakes region and other parts of North America, CTV News reports.
It was some kind of octagonal object with hanging cables.
The US responded to these reports. The US military raised an F-16 fighter jet, which destroyed the object with two missiles.
The debris fell into the water. It was later retrieved and sent to Canadian experts for examination.
The results of the work were not reported. Only now it became known that "the debris does not pose a threat."
It is possible that we are talking about a weather balloon that was launched from US territory.
There were also suspicions that it was a Chinese balloon launched to gather intelligence.
