A man-eating wolf wandered into one of the villages at night, writes India Today .
He broke into the house, ran into the room where the 7-year-old boy was and grabbed him by the neck.
A moment later, the beast with its prey jumped out into the street and rushed towards the field.
The screams of the mother and the child himself brought the entire village to its feet. The villagers quickly reacted and rushed to help the minor.
The people chased the predator and managed to rescue the child. The wolf ran with him for about 200 m, then dropped him and disappeared.
The boy was taken to hospital. Doctors provided him with all the necessary assistance and after 13 days he was released home.
The boy's face, neck and head were left with scars from the wolf's teeth and claws.
In India, villagers often encounter predators that sneak into their homes.
This is not the first time that a man-eating wolf has attacked Uttar Pradesh this spring and summer. A whole pack has settled here and periodically makes raids. Over the past few months, the animals have killed nine people.
