Alexander Lukashenko suggested that Russians and Ukrainians consider purchasing a dacha in Belarus.
The President of the Republic stressed that this will save small and medium-sized villages.
Lukashenko voiced his proposal during the national holiday “Kupalye”, BelTA reports.
The politician pointed out that there are many wonderful places in the country that are going through hard times.
We are talking about small and medium-sized villages, where the population is gradually decreasing and the territories are becoming deserted.
Lukashenko asked his “closest friends from Russia and Ukraine” to consider purchasing a plot of land in Belarus.
The president of the republic said that they are worth "pennies" here. The politician believes that the deal is beneficial to both his country and the buyers.
The latter will receive their own dacha in Belarus, and the republic will be able to preserve and restore villages.
