Kaliningrad customs services reported that Lithuania has slowed down operations at the border with Russia.
It is emphasized that Lithuanian border guards are taking breaks in accepting cargo vehicles.
Kaliningrad customs officers noted: “The queues are growing; there are already approximately 80 vehicles in front of the checkpoint,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
It is also emphasized that the breaks allowed by Lithuanian border guards last an hour on average.
During the specified period of time, the processing of applications for truck departures is completely stopped.
Difficulties at the checkpoint
According to Kaliningrad customs officials, there are currently no official explanations for this situation from Lithuania.
The regional service staff added: “Lithuania wanted to and slowed down the work, and wanted to and sped up.”
It is reported that the said situation “may change several times” over a certain period.
