Lebanon commented on the possible state of the country in the event of an open conflict with Israel.
According to the Ministry of Finance, if this happens, Lebanon will only be able to provide its citizens with food for 3 months ahead.
Lebanese Finance Minister Amin Salami made this statement in a conversation with RIA Novosti .
According to the expert, there is not much food in the country. In the event that a large-scale war between Lebanon and Israel begins, the former will not be able to provide its citizens with food for long.
According to calculations, we are talking about a period of three months.
In addition, Salami noted, an even worse situation awaits the country if the Israelis launch airstrikes on the state’s sea and air ports.
For Lebanon, this would mean a complete blockade, and it would not be able to cope without the help of foreign countries.
The government has a plan to help the Lebanese survive, but it cannot be implemented without outside financial assistance, the finance minister said.
