Japan closes airport after scissors go missing

The foreign news agency CNN reported that New Chitose Airport in Japan was closed due to the disappearance of scissors.

Currently, 200 flights remain delayed due to the incident. Almost 40 flights have been cancelled.

CNN writes: "Local law enforcement officials believe the scissors may have been taken by a terrorist."

Police believe the attacker intends to use the above-described item as a weapon, which he plans to use on board the aircraft.

Japanese police considered the incident closed and resumed operations at the airport.
