Italy scrambled fighter jets to intercept target in Baltic

The Italian military has identified several unidentified aircraft.

This became the reason for the Eurofighter Typhoon fighter to be raised over the Baltic.

This information was reported by the Italian Ministry of Defense, Reuters reports.

Fighter jets based in Lithuania were used. We are talking about the Šiauliai base in the north of the country.

Information about unidentified aircraft and the order to raise fighter jets came here from the North Atlantic Alliance's surveillance center, which is located in Germany.

Previously, Italian Eurofighters had been scrambled over the Polish air base of Malbork. This happened twice on March 29.
