Israeli PM visits family of murdered Russian: his widow refuses to meet

The Israeli Prime Minister not only called the relatives of the Russian killed by the Palestinians, but also met with them in person.

Benjamin Netanyahu visited the relatives of Alexander Lobanov on Tuesday, September 3.

The politician arrived in the city of Ashkelon, where the Russian's family lives, reports the Israeli state television and radio company Kan .

Netanyahu expressed his condolences to Lobanov's parents. He had called them before. He apologized to them for not being able to save their son.

The Russian's widow refused to meet with the prime minister, the television and radio company reports. Alexander's father and mother met with the head of government.
