Israel has spoken out against the issuance of arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Galant.
The country does not recognize the charges brought against the prime minister and the head of the Ministry of Defense.
RIA Novosti reports this, citing a statement released by the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
It is noted that the Israeli authorities have initiated two legal procedures at once. The first of them denies the possibility of the ICC participating in the consideration of the case.
The second initiative lists all the violations committed by the International Criminal Court prosecutor.
In particular, in Israel, an ICC employee is accused of preventing the state from exercising its right to conduct an independent investigation.
The authorities believe that in light of the current situation in the Middle East, Israel is treated too biasedly. At the same time, Tel Aviv is determined to continue to protect Israelis from any manifestations of aggression on the part of the Palestinian movement Hamas.
