It has become known about a decision that the Iranian government may soon make.

Due to the current situation around Tehran, it is possible that the capital will be moved to another city.

RIA Novosti reports this with reference to information provided by Iranian media.

As the head of state emphasized, Tehran faces serious problems as the capital of Iran.

In particular, it is economically impractical to transport materials for production from the sea and from the south of the country to Tehran, and then, after turning them into the desired products, distribute them to all corners of the country.

Such repeated operations only reduce Iran's competitiveness.

Therefore, Masoud Pezeshkian noted, the government may soon decide to move the capital to another city. Which settlement is being discussed is not reported.

The Iranian President stated that first all departments will move to the new capital, and then Tehran residents will be offered to change their place of residence.
