A group of radicals planned to stage a coup d'état in Kyrgyzstan during the Independence Day celebrations.

To do this, they prepared an impressive arsenal and developed an action plan.

The coup d'état in Kyrgyzstan was supposed to take place on August 31, RIA Novosti reports, citing the country's special services.

The radicals planned to organize mass sports events in the outskirts of Bishkek. The goal was to gather as many young people as possible.

Along the way, they planned to cause mass riots with the destruction of property, arson, and clashes with law enforcement officers.

In addition, the radicals intended to use firearms and explosives.

An impressive arsenal was prepared. During the search, 70 units of firearms (rifles and pistols), more than 250 thousand rounds of ammunition, 38 bulletproof vests were seized.

There were also some plans to introduce them into the ranks of the Ministry of Internal Affairs employees. For this purpose, 200 sets of uniforms were prepared.

Earlier, the Pentagon postponed exercises with Georgia indefinitely due to the statement about Russia.
