A boulder fell from a mountain pass in Uzbekistan and fell right on a passing car.
Details were reported by the press center of the Road Safety Service (RTS) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 6, in the area of the Takhta-Karacha pass in the Kashkadarya region, RIA Novosti reports.
A Chevrolet Cobalt was driving along the highway. At that moment, a huge rock fell from the mountain, fell right on the roof of the car and crushed it.
Three people died as a result of the incident. Local media reported that they were tourists from Europe. The victims were allegedly Hungarian citizens. However, this information has not yet been confirmed.
Doctors, rescuers and law enforcement officers arrived at the scene of the emergency. Special equipment was used to remove the stone, and traffic through the pass was blocked.
