A 10-year-old boy who confessed to killing a former Louisiana mayor and his daughter is in custody.
Minden Police Chief Jared McIver said they received a sincere confession from the juvenile suspect.

Following the confession, police arrested the 10-year-old suspect.

For now, authorities prefer not to disclose information about the nature of the child's relationship with the victims.
The child was accompanied to the interrogation by his grandmother, who is his legal guardian.
