Kazakhstan has outlawed webcam models.

The CIS country now recognizes their activities as a criminal offense.

The Tengrinews portal reports that the corresponding amendments have been made to the law “On Combating Human Trafficking”.

In addition, the criminal code of the country introduced the concept of "other services of a sexual nature." Now, the activities of webcam models also fall under this category.

In Russia, the issue of banning webcams was raised. In July 2024, State Duma deputy Nina Ostanina stated that there was no need to do this in the Russian Federation.

The head of the State Duma Committee on Family Protection believes that Russians can be returned to traditional values without criminalizing this activity.

Deputy Vitaly Milonov proposed introducing criminal penalties for advertising webcam studios.

In Kyrgyzstan, webcams are banned. Studio organizers face a fine. In Russian rubles, the amounts range from 102 thousand to 308 thousand. Girls are also fined, but the amounts are smaller.
