Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said that the sabotage on Nord Stream could be considered an act of state terrorism.
The diplomat explained his position by the fact that countries or one country were involved in the strikes on critical infrastructure.
Szijjártó explained: “If one or more states attacked an important object, we are talking about state terrorism,” as reported by the PRIME agency.
The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry made this information public during his speech on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Budapest's position
Szijjarto added: "The incident has left the entire continent affected."
The explosion of the Russian gas pipelines to Europe, Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2, occurred at the end of September 2022.
In the context of this terrorist attack, Germany, Denmark and Sweden spoke out, not ruling out the fact that a deliberate terrorist attack was committed against the gas pipelines.
Nord Stream AG, the operator of the Nord Stream pipeline, has repeatedly emphasized that the sabotage led to serious damage to the infrastructure.
