The search for a missing tourist in Hungary ended with the discovery of her body in the forest.
Details were provided by local law enforcement officers.
31-year-old nurse Mackenzie Michalski from the United States came to Europe with friends.
They rented a place to stay in Budapest and went to one of the Hungarian capital's night clubs, ABC News reports.
There the woman met a 37-year-old tourist from Ireland, whose name has not been disclosed.
After relaxing at the club, the couple went to the apartment rented by the Irishman.
Here a tourist killed an American woman, hid her body in a suitcase, which he placed in the trunk of a rented car. The criminal took the body out of town and buried it in the forest.
But the Irishman did not manage to escape justice. The police found out who Mackenzie was with that fateful evening.
During interrogation, the man failed to deceive the law enforcement officers and eventually told them what he had done and also showed where he had hidden the body.
The killer was arrested and now investigators are finding out all the details of what happened.
