New details have emerged regarding the death of Russian tourists in the mountains of Nepal.
The aircraft that was supposed to reach the bodies of the dead was unable to do so.
The sports and tourist club of travelers "Penza", of which one of the deceased was a member, shared this information on its page on the social network VKontakte.
It is specified that today, October 10, a rescue helicopter was sent to the area of Mount Dhaulagiri.
However, the bodies of the dead are in such a hard-to-reach place that the aircraft was unable to get close to them.
According to the tourist club, other options are currently being considered to help return the bodies of the dead home.
Details of the incident
Let us recall that a group of Russian tourists, consisting of five people, was previously declared dead while attempting to conquer Mount Dhaulagiri.
The sixth member of the expedition, Valery Shamalo, refused to climb to the top of the mountain, thanks to which he survived. The man was evacuated from the camp set up by the climbers and taken to Kathmandu.
