According to the head of the White House, he wants to discuss with his French counterpart how the world is “going a little crazy.”
The American president made this statement to journalists before holding the meeting, RIA Novosti reports.
It is noted that the American leader arrived in Paris to participate in the opening ceremony of Notre Dame Cathedral after the restoration of the temple.
Volodymyr Zelensky will also be present at the opening ceremony of Notre Dame, but Trump did not announce a meeting with him.
"It's clear that the world is going a little crazy right now," Trump said.
He noted that it was an honour for him to be in Paris and that a great deal of work had been done to make this possible.
During the meeting with Macron, the politician intends to discuss with him the current situation in the world, which he described as a world going crazy.
