The girl asked for help to remove freckles and died after several procedures.
The incident was reported by the South China Morning Post.
It is noted that shortly before her death, the Chinese woman was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis. She required an urgent procedure to remove the café-au-lait spots that were discovered on her.
However, during the treatment, with each new procedure, the girl became worse.
The tenth procedure proved fatal for the Chinese woman, during which her heart stopped.
Medics were called to the scene and were able to restart the patient's heart, but this could not save her life. The patient died 10 days after the incident.
According to the family members of the deceased, the tragedy could have been caused by a poorly calculated dose of anesthetic, since the Chinese woman once became ill due to the painkiller.
