Two people have died and one woman has been hospitalized after a giant wave swept tourists out to sea in Hawaii.
A big wave rolled in suddenly and two vacationers disappeared under the water.
A man and a woman who were on the beach were caught in a wave, The Independent writes.
As a result of the incident, a 63-year-old tourist died and a woman died in hospital.
One of the victims was rescued from the water approximately 15 minutes after the incident.
Lt. Kerry Atwood of the Honolulu Department of Ocean Safety said there have been cases on Oahu where waves have knocked people off their feet and pulled them into the water.
He also said the beach where the dead tourists were relaxing is considered one of the most dangerous places in Hawaii.
