Salome Zurabishvili issued a warning to the ruling Georgian Dream party.
The words of the current president of the republic are quoted by Sputnik Georgia on its Telegram channel.
Without concessions, “recognition of some things” and compromises, the “Georgian Dream” will collapse.
And this, according to Zurabishvili, is the alternative path that the ruling party is choosing.
"Concessions are necessary, recognition of certain things is necessary, compromises are necessary. If not, the regime will fall," the politician said.
Earlier, Zurabishvili confirmed that she does not intend to resign her mandate after the expiration of her term as head of state on December 29.
The head of state is seeking to hold repeat parliamentary elections.
Only if new elections are held is Zurabishvili ready to leave her post.
The President of Georgia is counting on support from the West.
She appealed to the countries of the European Union to help the protesters.
She also stated that she has no contacts with the Georgian Dream.
At the same time, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze noted that Zurabishvili could go to prison if she calls new parliamentary elections or refuses to leave her post.
