Covid is a disease that has caused the death of a huge number of people.
In Russia, the incidence rate has been reduced to a minimum, but a surge has been detected in France.
France has seen a rise in coronavirus cases. TASS reports details, citing WHO official representative Margaret Harris.
It is noted that a surge in coronavirus was noticed on the eve of the Olympic Games.
According to the representative, WHO and the country's authorities have recommended that people use masks in crowded places.
They also called for avoiding contact with people if symptoms of the disease are detected.
Despite the surge being identified, the WHO is in no rush to declare a major case load, Harris said.
She noted that WHO plays an advisory role, but the responsibility for assessing risks and taking measures lies with the country hosting the Olympic Games.
It is added that if symptoms of COVID are detected, WHO recommends not leaving home.
The Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11.
