It has become known to whom the Financial Times has awarded the honorary title of “person of the year”.
According to the newspaper, newly elected President Donald Trump deserves this title more than anyone else.
The corresponding publication appeared on the pages of the Financial Times .
It is noted that the publication has previously awarded this title to Trump. The newly elected head of state became the FT's Person of the Year during his first presidential term in 2016.
The newspaper cited two reasons why it considered Trump worthy:
- outstanding character of a politician;
- his return to power after 4 years.
It is noted that Trump is the first politician since the 19th century who managed to return to the White House after one term.
The newly elected president has already been congratulated on his victory by his rivals: Vice President Kamala Harris, who was his main opponent during the presidential election, and the head of state Joe Biden, whose presidential term will soon end.
