An expert spoke about the Olympics that took place in France.

According to the director of the Institute of Modern States, the event did not correspond to the level of the host state.

This point of view was expressed by Alexei Martynov during a thematic round table of the Expert Institute for Social Research, TASS reports.

Martynov spoke with colleagues from France and shared their impressions of the recent world-class sporting event.

The expert stressed that his French colleagues were unpleasantly surprised by the level of organization of the Olympics this year.

It is noted that the sporting event was so poor that France was even compared to a third-rate country that was randomly selected to host the Olympics.

This concerns both the overall organization and the ideas that were implemented at the event.

Martynov summed up that now the Olympic movement has degraded twice: first into a tough political instrument, and then into an instrument of commercialization, which has made sport only a source of profit.
