By a court decision, Russian citizen Ekaterina Burnazkina has been arrested.
A woman has been accused of leaving her newborn in danger at Antalya airport.
A Russian woman gave birth, left the baby in an airport toilet and tried to quickly fly out of the country, the DHA agency reported.
A criminal case was opened against a woman born in 2006. Her mother was detained along with Burnazkina.
The Russian Consulate General in Antalya reported that the child’s health is not in danger.
During interrogation, the young woman said that she did not know about her pregnancy.
However, the court decided to arrest the Russian woman after she was given medical assistance and interrogated.
The Russian Consulate General is preparing the relevant documents for the child’s registration.
The Russian side carries out all consular functions provided for in such cases.
