According to a former employee known online as Zhenliubao, staff lived for years in dormitories converted from old livestock farms, the South China Morning Post reports.
One of the restrictions in the studio's work was a strict ban on opening curtains.
We were not allowed to open the curtains, which is why we worked in the dark for years, the employee explained.
He also claimed that the boss asked workers to call him "brother." He forbade employees from reading books or seeking medical help.
Artists were subjected to psychological control. They were verbally insulted and ideologically processed.
The employee emphasized that these working conditions created a state of constant overload.
