Joint patrols by the Chinese and Russian navies are being carried out in accordance with the annual plan, the Chinese Ministry of Defense emphasized in a statement .

The Chinese and Russian navies are patrolling the territory in the waters of the western and northern parts of the Pacific Ocean.

These actions are not related to the current international and regional situation.
