Tom Joly has already filed a complaint with the prosecutor's office. Parisian law enforcement officers have initiated an investigation.
The art director has faced online bullying and threats. Joly claims that unknown people are threatening to kill him, BFMTV reports.
He cites his non-traditional orientation and origin as the reason. Joly says that he is mistaken for an Israeli.
After receiving threats, he contacted the prosecutor's office. Law enforcement officers are conducting an investigation and trying to find the perpetrators.
Joly began receiving threats after the opening ceremony of the Olympics, which took place last Friday, July 26.
The scene with the "Last Supper" and a number of other fragments of the show caused a lot of controversy. The French authorities, however, were satisfied with what was shown.
