Archbishop Savva sees "icon of the devil" in Olympic Games closing poster

Deputy Administrator of the Moscow Patriarchate, clergyman, Archbishop Savva Zelenogradsky criticized the poster for the closing of the Olympic Games.

According to the church minister, the above poster has a certain meaning.

In his official Telegram channel, Archbishop Savva wrote: "The poster depicts fallen light. That is, it is an icon of the devil."

In addition, the priest supplemented his own publication with an excerpt from the Bible, Commentary on Isaiah 14:12.

Archbishop Savva emphasized that the said event is described in the Old Testament book of the prophet Isaiah.

In particular, the poster for the closing ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games is made predominantly in black tones.

On a black background is a silhouette of the Earth, onto which a luminous male figure falls. The silhouette flies from the sky head down.
