Panic erupted on board a passenger plane after a bomb was reported on board.
The incident occurred during a flight operated by American Airlines.
The plane took off from New Jersey to Texas. At first, the flight proceeded normally, writes the Daily Mail .
The alarm was raised after a flight attendant noticed a sign written on the toilet door. "There is a bomb on board," it read, written in pink pen.
The aircraft commander was immediately notified. He decided to make an emergency landing.
The pilot contacted ground control and was instructed to change course and fly to Pennsylvania.
While the plane was getting to its new destination, doctors and police arrived at the airport. FBI agents also arrived.
The aircraft landed safely in Pennsylvania.
The FBI questioned the passengers who were the last to use the restroom, but were unable to find out anything.
The bomb, as well as the pen used to make the inscription, were never found. As a result, hundreds of airline customers arrived in Texas very late because of someone's unfortunate prank.
