A Long Island passenger has filed a complaint against JetBlue over an injury she sustained on a July 23 flight.
A woman has broken her ankle, which has dramatically changed her plans for a tropical holiday.
A passenger got tangled in her seatbelt while getting out of her seat on a JetBlue flight to the Bahamas, FOX4 reports.
As a result, she fell backwards. In the process, the traveler's leg twisted and cracked.
The woman alleges in her lawsuit that JetBlue failed to provide any medical care.
Moreover, she left the plane last so as not to create inconvenience for other passengers.
The passenger also criticized the airline for a broken wheelchair with no support.
According to the tourist, in the Bahamas she was forced to book a return flight to New York and seek medical help on her own.
Doctors presumably diagnosed the passenger with a fractured right ankle, deep vein thrombosis and an exacerbation of an old back injury.
According to the lawsuit, the woman is seeking $170,000 in damages over the incident.
