A Dutch woman decided to commit euthanasia and changed her mind a few minutes before the injection.

The girl suffered from clinical depression, eating disorders and anorexia due to the abuse she experienced as a child.

She defended her right to die after reaching 18, Mail Online reports.

After nearly four years of convincing doctors, officials and her own family, she found herself in a hospital bed in June 2023.

The doctor standing in front of her explained that the first injection would numb the vein, the second would stop breathing, and that this procedure would result in a quick death.

The girl gave the doctor consent to continue the procedure. However, at the last moment before the injection, she cancelled her own death.

She later applied for euthanasia again. However, thanks to therapy, she found meaning in her life.

Today, the Dutchwoman lives in a retirement community in Rotterdam. She is studying for a diploma in adult education.

The girl was so close to death that she now perceives life as something very valuable.
