Finnish scientists led by Dr. Timo Partonen have discovered that certain foods can provide a person with sound sleep.
Researchers have conducted relevant experiments, which have shown that people whose diet does not include fruits and vegetables sleep much less and are more restless.
Scientists emphasized: “A lack of these foods can also trigger excessively long sleep,” as reported in the journal Frontiers .
According to Partonen, it is extremely important to ensure that you eat the right foods.

As the head of the study explained, it is also important to avoid nighttime eating, even if you are a night owl.
At night, processes in the body slow down, and accordingly, food consumption can negatively affect a person’s figure.
Partonen pointed out: “As for vegetables and fruits, they contain compounds that have a positive effect on sleep and the feeling of sleepiness.”
In particular, tart cherries and bananas contain melatonin, which is directly involved in ensuring healthy sleep in humans.
