Doctors removed the woman's gallbladder with more than 200 stones. Details are reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the Moscow Region Ministry of Health, citing Dmitry Egorov, a surgeon at the Kolomenskaya Hospital.
It is noted that the woman decided to undergo an examination, as a result of which doctors discovered a huge number of stones in the gallbladder.
It is also known that surgeons at the Kolomna Hospital had to remove the patient’s gallbladder so that she would not face serious complications in the future.
According to Yegorov, the operation lasted about 40 minutes. It was successful.
The press service noted that the patient has now been discharged. She will continue to be monitored by a doctor.
It is added that prevention of the occurrence of stones is a healthy lifestyle: exercise, proper nutrition and timely treatment of diseases.
