A nutritionist has issued a warning to people looking to lose weight.

According to the specialist, any extreme intervention in the normal functioning of the body is fraught with problems.

In an interview with Lenta.ru , Natalia Gridina, a nutritionist at the medtech service Budu, spoke about the dangers of wanting to lose 10-15 kilograms in the shortest possible time.

Gridina reminded that weight loss occurs primarily due to a decrease in muscle mass, and fat is lost later.

This is why people on extreme diets tend to feel weak and tired.

This is also associated with other problems. In particular, after returning to a normal diet, a person will quickly gain back everything that was lost before: the body will replace the lost muscle mass with fat.

Extreme diets are almost never balanced, therefore, there is a deficiency of vital vitamins and microelements. And this is not to mention the problems with the gastrointestinal tract.

Previously we listed the pros, cons and effects of the French diet.
