An expert has named a popular but unsuccessful tactic for getting back into shape after a long holiday period.

Nutritionist Natalia Fariseeva shared a comment on this topic.

The holidays are a challenge not only for your culinary skills, but also for your gastrointestinal tract.

It is during this period that tables are laden with various treats, and people forget about diets and break their eating habits.

In a conversation with NEWS.ru, the doctor urged to abandon a strict diet after the holidays. This is a disastrous way to restore the body and figure.

If you change your diet abruptly and make it based on smoothies and salads with fruits, your body will experience stress. The result will be an attempt to "eat" it away.

In addition, it is fraught with gastrointestinal upset.

You need to start by giving up processed foods (sausages, sauces, alcohol, sweets).

The diet should be based on protein (animal and vegetable).

For example, poultry, fish, seafood, eggs, lentils, beans, tofu. As for drinks, the expert recommends herbal tea, berry juice or just warm water.

Antioxidants are also needed in the post-holiday period. They can be obtained from lettuce leaves and greens.

In winter, it is not recommended to eat raw vegetables. It is better to bake, stew or steam them.

In addition, it is better to eat vegetables separately from meat dishes, as well as cereals and fruits.
