Stroke is a disease associated with a disruption of cerebral circulation. It occurs in people of different ages.

Its presence may be indicated by both typical and atypical symptoms.

As Sputnik radio points out with reference to neurologist and medical science candidate Olga Golubinskaya, the symptoms of a stroke depend on the type of damaged vessels.

It is noted that a circulatory failure that occurs in the right or left middle cerebral artery will be associated with typical symptoms.

According to Golubinskaya, such symptoms are the following: headache, negative changes in memory, paralysis, speech impairment, facial asymmetry.

She noted that if small vessels are damaged, a person may not notice symptoms that warn of a stroke.

The neurologist added that a person can suffer a stroke without fainting if small vessels are clotted or a small amount of blood flows out of the vessels. This can be expressed in symptoms such as increased fatigue, weakness in the upper limbs, headache.

According to the doctor, an epileptic seizure may indicate an approaching stroke. In this case, a person may experience convulsions, visions, and concentration on one point. Strange smells may also appear.

If symptoms occur, the doctor recommended that you immediately contact a specialist.
