A neurologist has named the reason why many people suffer from headaches in winter.

This phenomenon is called a cold headache and most often affects those who suffer from migraines.

Specialist Igor Matsokin shared these observations with the publication aif.ru.

Although the mechanism for the occurrence of headaches of this kind has not yet been fully studied, the doctor suggested how exactly they arise.

A person begins to feel unwell when in contact with a source of pain, that is, when in the cold.

At the same time, a person feels better when he stops interacting with the cold.

Therefore, Matsokin named a warm room as the first way to combat the painful condition. A warm drink helps even better, as do painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs.

The specialist also advised to consult a doctor if the episodes recur or haunt the person on a permanent basis.
