Over the past 4 years, the volume of such assistance in the capital has increased almost twofold. This was reported by TASS, citing Deputy Mayor Anastasia Rakova.
It is noted that the construction of modern clinics and the purchase of new equipment played an important role in increasing the indicator.
According to the deputy mayor, specialists have built over 85 thousand square meters of new infrastructure in 4 years. They have also put in order over 40 thousand square meters. The amount of money spent on equipment amounted to over 5 billion rubles.
She noted that there are five anchor oncology clinics in Moscow. They have all the conditions for high-quality and fast care for patients. This increases the comfort of citizens and speeds up diagnosis.
Rakova added that early detection of cancer in the capital has increased from 62% to 67%. Patient mortality has also decreased.
