Just recently, an event in honor of World Melanoma Screening Day was held in the Moscow region.
As part of this campaign, many people were able to check their health for free.
In the Moscow region, people were examined for skin cancer. The details are reported by the Moscow Agency, citing the press service of the regional Ministry of Health and Minister Alexey Sapanyuk.
It is noted that the number of people who underwent diagnostics amounted to over 600 people.
It is specified that the event took place on May 25 in outpatient oncology care centers.
According to Sapanyuk, timely examination plays an important role in the treatment of cancer. That is why it should not be ignored.
He added that out of 615 people examined, only 64 citizens were referred for additional examination, as a result of which cancer was detected in 3 people. These people will have to undergo treatment.
