Medical specialists removed a pistachio shell from the patient's bronchi. Details are reported by TASS , citing the press service of the Moscow Region Health Ministry and Lobbenskaya Hospital endoscopist Maxim Mokshanov.
It is noted that a woman was admitted to the Lobnya hospital complaining of asthma attacks.
According to the doctor, the shell had grown into the bronchial mucosa, so the patient urgently needed surgery.
He noted that the work began with a diagnostic study and ended with the removal of the shell from two bronchi.
It is also known that the foreign body affected the development of bronchial mucosal edema. To solve the problem, the woman was prescribed therapy aimed at combating inflammation.
The Ministry of Health added that the woman is currently feeling well.
