Fasting requires a person to restrict food, so soon people may experience unpleasant sensations in the body, including apathy and weakness.

To avoid unpleasant symptoms, it is important to monitor your well-being.

At the end of the fast, people may receive signals from their body indicating a lack of energy and nutrients. The Moscow Agency reports details, citing leading nutritionist Antonina Starodubova of the Moscow Health Department.

She noted that the hardest time is the last week of fasting, since at this time the internal reserves are depleted. This can manifest itself in fatigue, weakness, and a feeling of cold.

Taking into account the possible occurrence of unpleasant symptoms, the doctor advised eating fish and vegetable oil on the permitted days.

In addition, she recommended eating regularly and in a balanced manner, avoiding sweet and salty foods, and drinking more water.

According to her, it is important to include whole grains, vegetables, and fruits in the diet. It is also important to eat berries, greens, seaweed, nuts, and seafood.

She clarified that vitamin and mineral complexes can be taken to replenish the necessary substances.

It is added that if health problems arise, you should visit a specialist.

The end of Great Lent in 2024 will occur on May 4.
