Many people keep a chemical substance called potassium permanganate in their homes.

If safety rules are not followed, it can lead to bad consequences, especially if there are small children in the house.

Parents should remove potassium permanganate from the house, as it can harm the child. The Moscow Agency reports details, citing pediatric surgeon Saidkhasan Bataev.

It is noted that if there is potassium permanganate in the house, it is better to dispose of it. It will not bring any particular benefit, but it can be very harmful to children.

According to Batayev, potassium permanganate was used earlier, when there was a shortage of disinfectants. However, now there is no need for it.

He noted that if potassium permanganate is swallowed, a child may die within a few hours or become disabled.

It is added that in addition to potassium permanganate, batteries and household chemicals may pose an increased danger to children.
